Completing the garage cabinet project started in the last video.

www.patioandhomeimprovementdesign.com We just completed this garage storage deck in Louisville Colorado. Our client needed more space in the garage so we designed this overhead deck platform. We also installed new shelving to maximize the storage space overhead. We use a steel L bar to attach to the roof truss for our support in the corner where there was no wall to attach.

Building my 30×50 home work-shop. This shop has central air and heat with 2 backup through the wall a/c units and a back up overhead furnace. It has a slop sink and bathroom, office with a refrirefrigerator, microwave, computer with internet , and plenty of storage. It is equiped with a fourpost lift and painted floors.

Modular building are, quite simply put, pre-made buildings that have been made in a factory, they arrive at a specific location, part or ready assembled, to be installed for use. You may be more familiar with the term prefabricated building or prefab but it is essentially the same thing. Modular buildings comprise of various units, for example walls and window fittings, which are completed in a factory and then shipped to be fully constructed at another site. Examples of modular buildings include offices and other commercial buildings or even homes.

A modular building helps to save on costs and the length of time it takes to install one is an important factor in this. If a business decides to install a modular building it can be up and working within a few weeks. To construct a traditional building it could take months and this adds to the cost of labor. With a modular building much of the work has already been done at the factory and it is much easier to construct the building once it has shipped to the site.

One of the advantages of modular building construction is that it is not dictated by the weather. Traditional building projects can easily be hampered by poor weather causing delays and holding the project up. There is also less likely to be a problem with significant noise and this means that any neighboring premises will not be affected by your building project. This all contributes to a smoother running building project and means less stress and hassle for business owners. And because workers can generally get on without delays it means that the cost of labor should be cheaper.

Once you own a modular building it is also possible to relocate it should you decide to move; this makes it a good long-term investment. There is also a good variety in style and design of modular building so you can choose to keep it sympathetic to other nearby buildings. Modular buildings can also be customized to suit any specific requirements you may have, so you can choose things like the color scheme or whether to have it single level or multi level. Features can also be added to the outside of the modular building such as decks, canopies or ramps depending on your requirements.

Modular buildings are also increasingly environmentally friendly. Because the structure is made in a factory to exact specifications there is less waste and as your modular building is portable it can stay with you even if you move premises or location. Some modern companies are also using eco-friendly materials to construct their modular buildings and aim to make the buildings energy efficient – again saving you money in the long term.
